Pictures and captions, The Louvre

Hello!  This is going to be the post full of photos that I promised you.  It's all of the Louvre.  Love all of the ancient things, the coins and the jewlery and stuff.  And there are a lot of really pretty paintings towards the end there, as well as some breathtaking photos of the great glass pyramid(s) at night when they're all lit up!

When I become queen of everything, this is the crown I want

According to Elizabeth, this is my Renaissance doppelganger.

I truly think she is DeVinci's most beautiful portrait

In case you can't read it it says :Leonard De Vinci 1452 Portrait de femme.  Though there were many possible identities for who this woman was no one is sure to this day.  It then lists all of the possible women.

These two photos are very interesting.  They are the front and back of the same painting.  The artist painted the same scene from two different angles so that no matter where you stood you could see the same thing.

I think she's just the cutest girl ever!

stupid huge pane of glass made my picture of the Mona Lisa very sub par!

One of the most influential French paintings.  Influential especially for the French themselves.

I just think that it's the funniest thing that they have a "Nintendo 3DS Audioguide" for the Louvre...it's almost as awesome as the fact that they have a Marie Antionette (or something like that) video game on sale at Versailles...though that's a story for another time...spoilers!  Teehee!

Ok!  That's more like it!  I am sorry for my overly contemplative post from yesterday.  I guess that I have had too much time to think, and when I was homesick I watched a little too much Doctor Who!  Love you guys!  Hope that I can write another real post soon!
